Commercial Grade Doorway Beam 

    

This compact entry warning system is designed for use in shops, restaurants and surgeries etc.  and will alert you to the entry of customers and visitors.  The system consists of a send/receive unit which transmits an invisible beam of infrared light across the doorway onto a prismatic reflector mounted on the opposite side.  The beam is reflected back to the receiver to complete the \'seal\'.  The beam is produced by a highly reliable Light Emitting Diode (LED).  When a person walks through the beam, the circuit is interrupted and this causes the alarm to sound an audible warning. 

The speaker can be set to give either a single chime (bing bong) or a siren alarm.  The duration of the alarm is adhustable from 3 to 30 seconds.  The volume of both chime and alarm is adjustable.  A single cable, 10 m long, links the speaker and the beam unit, giving great flexibility for speaker placement.

An AC adaptor provides power to the speaker.  Power for the beam unit is over the cable from the speaker.  

An additional extension speaker or a counter may be connected to the speaker.
