The beam transmitter and receiver units are fully self-contained with built in solar panels and battery backup to power them. Combined with the units’ small size this makes for very easy, inconspicuous, installation. They can be mounted on a post or a building wall.

The beams can be adjusted by + or - 50 vertically and + or- 900 horizontally to ensure the transmitter and receiver line up properly even if the mounting surface is not on exactly the angle you want.
Dual beams reduce the incidence of false alarms, without missing genuine events. Operating frequency 433 Mhz.
The Solarbeam sensor operates 24 hours, 7 days a week. It does not need to be reset each time after it has given an alert.
Low maintenance, easy to install & relocate!

The Solarbeam is both wireless and solar powered so you can set it up anywhere, even up to 500m away from the receiver unit*, without the hassle and expense of finding a power source.
The receiver is simple to install. Merely place it in a suitable location in the house, where it has a clear radio signal from each of the Solarbeams, and then connect the power.
Don't just protect your driveway, Protect your full perimeter!
One receiver can be used with up to 6 Solarbeams, so you can easily cover the main entrance as well as the entrance to the barn and the back lane. There is a separate LED on the receiver for each Solarbeam so you know where you visitors are. If you require more than six Solarbeams then multiple receivers may be used.
If you require something louder than the built in buzzer, then the relay contacts may be used to activate an additional buzzer or lights.

If you want to be warned when you are further afield then you should use an M01 auto-dialling receiver in conjunction with your driveway alert system. By programing your cell phone number into the dialler you can be alerted wherever you are, provided you are within cellphone coverage.
You can use the same Solarbeams as part of both a driveway alert system and a security system. During the day the Solarbeams can trigger the driveway alert receiver to let you know you have visitors. At night or when you are away, the beams can trigger your security alarm. You can use the WR8 receiver for a fully wireless system to interface the Solarbeams to any wired alarm system.

*NOTE: radio path – the Solarbeam may be up to 500 metres from the receiver under optimum conditions that is clear line of sight with no obstructions or interferring signals. Presence of obstructions or interfering signals (including other wireless devices and electric fence noise) will reduce the maximum possible range. If obstructions are a problem talk to us about using our Booster Box to overcome the problem.
The rechargeable batteries in the beam units have a finite life. This life will depend on a number of factors including the amount of sunlight the unit receives, how often the unit is triggered and how accurately the units are aligned.
