Suggested Applications:
This is a big camera with performance to match. It has 420TVL resolution colour for excellent daylight colour images and it can see up to 35 metres away in complete darkness. At night or in total darkness the Sony CCD chip turns the camera into black and white and the infrared LED's take over allowing you to see in complete darkness.
These cameras are completely waterproof and dustproof, – they have an amazing IP rating of 68. (click here to see the meaning of IP ratings). The camera can be immersed in a bucket of water for 60 minutes without any ill effects. It has a fogproof lens window so there is no need for a heater for cold days.
The power consumption without LEDs on is a low 110 mA, so the camera is much less likely to overheat, avoiding the need for a cooling fan. The housing is designed to dissipate what little heat is generated to keep the operating temperature low. Overheating can reduce the life of the CCD sensing element or even cause it to fail.
